Wax
We use all natural soy wax. The soy wax we use is produced from American-grown soybeans (a renewable resource). We do not use paraffin wax as paraffin wax is derived from petroleum, which is an unsustainable and non-renewable resource. Studies have shown that paraffin wax candles can emit toxic fumes when burning, while soy wax is non-toxic.
Fragrance Oils
We collaborate with many high-end fragrance companies throughout the United States to create our upscale and unique blend of scents. Our fragrance oils are derived from both natural and high quality synthetic ingredients. We source only phthalate-free fragrance oils, which means they are non-toxic to burn. Research has shown that phthalates may be harmful to one's health and may cause birth defects.
While our candles, room mists, and reed diffusers may incorporate synthetic fragrance blends, they remain non-toxic. To obtain certain natural fragrances and essential oils is not always possible due to the large quantity of material needed to produce a small amount of fragrance.
Wicks
We use cotton core wicks interwoven with paper threads and vegetable oil, as well as wood wicks. These wicks are all natural and tested to bring you a clean burning candle.
Vessels + Boxes
We work with glass and tin vessels. Once cleaned, all vessels can be reused and repurposed! Our suggested uses would be as a planter, pencil/pen holder, or repoured as a new candle. All boxes are made of paper and can be recycled.
Shipping
We try to avoid and always limit any plastic when shipping our products. All items are packed in bio-degradable cardboard boxes packed with recyclable material.
We also recycle and re-use, so if ever you find plastic within your shipment (bubble wrap, air pillows, etc.), these have been reused from shipments we received from another supplier. We would prefer to reuse it than to throw it away!
